Backing Up HT1250 Codeplug

Post by Vyc0r »

So Im brand new here. Just bought an HT1250 and i'll be programming it (as soon as my cable arrives) with the Motorola software (R06.04.00 is version I have)... anyway im trying to get a grasp for how things work, but I see people writing about "codeplugs" and backing them up. Whats the proper way to backup a "codeplug" so if i screw u programming, i can resort back to a WORKING radio. Thanks.

For the HT1250, after reading the radio, simply choose "Save As", and save the original data. After you change settings, save the altered codeplug with a different name. If your changes make a mess, you can simply re-open the original file and write it back to the radio.

Thank you. I figured that much. Can someone provide me with a codeplug for the HT1250 radio. Id like to start learning to use the software while my cable is mailed. I just got notified the cable will be mailed tommorrow, so I won't see it till sometime early next week. Thanks in advance. My email the codeplug can be emailed to is [email protected]

Its an HT1250 like i said, full keypad, non-LS version. 450-512 range (if that matters, but id just like to try the software out so any HT1250 codeplug is fine so I can learn it)
