FIRMWARE REVISIONS

Post by themedic66 »

Hello all,

What else is the firmware used for, besides allowing a radio to be re-bandable? We're referring to an AS3:

R 07.01.01
DSP I07.03.09
H04RDH9PW7AN
1 MEG
FLASHCODE 100004-000000-4

I read in a thread that some people on the board are capable of revising or upgrading firmware.(http://batboard.batlabs.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=71793 towards the end) Is this legal?

Thanks

you can add or remove different options/features, fix known problems. if you have a legal subscription to motorola for your rss/cps then firmware upgrades are free along with the subscription and you can do them yourself.

I never check PM's so don't bother, just email me.
I won't reply to a hotmail, gmail, aol or any other generic free address, if you want me to reply use a real address.
STOP ASKING ME FOR SOFTWARE OR FIRMWARE, I JUST FORWARD ALL OF THE REQUESTS TO THE MODERATORS

Unlike the Pro, and Comm radios firmware upgardes for the Astro, and Astro 25 units are not free from Motorola (unless you buy a new LCD for a 3000/3500) They are $75.00 a pop.
