MICRO TO POTS

Ok, So I am still trying to learn this crap.
If one were to have a dedicated micorwave (radio) link with a canopy type system and we need to use it to emulate a lease line, how do you go from the
netwrok (RJ45) to break it out to say a punch block level?
Is there a single product or unit that will convert network to phone line (cheaply)?
I know about the carlson trailblazer, JPS units, vega units etc. But we just need to emulate copper (two pairs) through the canopy system.
Thanks, Rob

Rob,
Are you trying to produce an RTNA (tone remote circut) or move dialtone from one place to another?

You'll need a pair of TDMoIP or TDMoE channel banks with appropriate ports, depending on your network layout.
Do you just have a Canopy link from one end to the other, with nothing else attached to it? If so, a TDMoE channel bank will do the job. SpiderMUX might work for you, but it's not going to cut it over an IP network, it operates entirely at the Ethernet layer.
If you've got a routed IP network, you'll need to go TDMoIP, which is more expensive. Cisco IOS LMR software for their routers (and appropriate V(W)ICs) would be one option to investigate.

Not looking to move dialtone, Looking to use it to run a remote reciever, or possibly a remote base.
There is other stuff onthe canopy network, but we have the option to install an additional dedicated canopy hop with nothing but the radio traffic on it.

In our experience with the TDMoIP units, you are better off with a dedicated link, we have several setup, and have had noise problems on our links that share space with data or video. We got rid of most of it, but had to add more expensive layer 3 switches and set up Vlan tagging.

Ok, So it would go like this
Canopy radio>TDMoIP or TDMoE channel banks>T1 mux>tone remote ?
This is what is really confusing me, what parts are needed besides the canopy radios and a router?
Thanks, Rob

The Rad tdmoip units we have been using are Ethernet on one side 4 wire audio on the other. So simplest system would be Base wireline>tdmoip>ethernet switch>canopy>rf>canopy>switch>tdmoip>remote
