Selective Call and MDC 1200 Question

Post by themedic66 »

Hello,

I was wondering, can you use selective call with an MDC ID, or do you have to have/use the Digital ID with this function. In other words, can i type in 4988 for example and call one of my colleagues' radios, or would I have to use the 6-digit Digital ID?

Thanks

What radios do you own?: Motorola FR50!

If it's an analog channel, then yes you use the 4-digit ID. If it's a digital channel, you use the 6-digit digital ID.
