Questions about UHF Digtal Astro Spectra

Post by Mike Mauren »

I happened upon some Motorola Digital Astro Spectra-UHF(403-437)W7 Head - 100 Watt. they are model number
##T04QLH9SW7AN.

These units brand new in the box. The have all the accessories and are in the original motorola box. I'm unfamiliar with this split. Who uses this frequency?

Yep, the US Federal Govt. They have lot's of stuff in the lower UHF. The military uses a lot of it for big trunking systems on military installations all across the US.

They don't go up into the ham band very far or very easily.

I suppose low UHF is used in Canada somewhere to but I don't know for sure.
