Hi All, Besides the XTS what other portables does Mot make yellow housing for?

I've seen yellow MT500 ("Chessie") yellow cases in person.
They're called Chessie because they were used on the coal
trains for visibility if/when the radio was dropped into a coal
car.

They're called Chessie because it was the Chessie System Railroad, and their colors were Yellow, Blue, and Orange.

I have also seen Yellow HT750's and HT1250's.

I have a Yellow Mt-500 chessie radio, I was wondering about newer stuff like p 0225, Ht 1250. thanks for the replies.

I saw a HT600, a HT1000, and a MT1000.....I am sure there are a bunch more out there.

CP100 can come with a yellow bezel

If anyone has the part # for a yellow housing for HT1000 please let me know.

Kinda OT - but

There were blue "commerative" olympic radios made a few years ago. I think it was only done with the lower end radios, such as SP50's and Spirits (Pre-programmed on FRS). I've only seen a few.

The Swiss Army had Red XTS's if memory serves...

I've seen the P50's in yellow, and orange (or red, never could tell ).

Once a few years ago I even saw a clear one on ebay, I wondered what that was for.

We have yellow HT-1250's that are used as sign out portables. You can also get camo.

I would love to have a Yellow Ht-600 or a Mt-1000.

EF Johnson makes the 5100 in orange, yellow and black

The clear radios were true "first production" radios, used at the factory to see how well components fit together once the case was closed up (i.e. things not pushing together and breaking because of force, etc). I've seen a clear HT1000, M1225, SM50, SP50, and a few others. One of my good friends also owns them. Definately neat little trinkets for your "Home" /\/\useum!!

The clear P50 cases were available to dealers for installation on demo radios.

They're also used for moisture and dust ingress testing, so you can see when and where the water gets in.

Years ago the Illinois Highway Patrol had yellow mikes on their MOTRACS. Some Mot salesmen managed to get their hands on a few and made sure to make them highly visible and never had a problem with speed stops.

They also had the infamous Red ISPERN (155.475) mics.
