Q's about building range 2 astro spectra

I'm working on putting together an Astro Spectra. I have a Range 2 VCO from a regular spectra and was wondering if I could use it on the Astro Spectra I'm building. I noticed the R2 VCO has an extra RF lead attached to the RF board of the regular spectra. The ASTRO RF board does not have this. Can I desolder the RF jack from the regular spectra RF board and solder it on to the Astro Spectra RF board ( I noticed there are solder pads for this ) and will I end up with a Range 2 ASTRO RF board & VCO or is there more to it?

Nobody has any thoughts on this?

To answer your question, yes, you can change out the lead. You will need a new CP that will let you load freq's in the 440 range though.
