Hi all, flying into BWI on Sunday, then headed to EMI/NFA at Emmittsburg for the week. Any P25 amateur repeaters up that way? Tried to do a brief search but no luck... Thanks! Jon

Jon,
The unfortunate, simple answer to your question for
Baltimore/Washington on P25 is no. There is at least
one D-Star machine in Alexandria VA just South of
DC but AFAIK that's it. We are pushing to get one
of our local systems converted to P25 but there is
opposition, so to speak, from those who favor D-Star.
Meanwhile, there are some really fine analog machines up near
where you'll be, among them K3PZN in Westminster on
145.41 CSQ, as well as about seven more in the Frederick,
Hagerstown, and Thurmont areas. PZN gets over into
Baltimore and down into DC quite well.
Regards,

There is a mixed mode P25 machine in Frederick MD on 442.800 (+) PL 79.7 NAC 797. In analog it is linked with the 442.650 (+) PL 79.7 in Hagerstown MD. Listen for analog activity since it can get busy sometimes thanks and enjoy!

Cool Rockville should be a shoe in I work in Rockville so I'm on it allot during the day (up until now in analog). I'll try and shout out in digital when I go mobile maybe we'll meet up sometime.
