A dispatch console

This has probably been addressed before, but searching just gets annoying, plus I like the social contact afforded me by posting a new topic.... anyway... here's what we've got:

4 Mobile radios (three bands) strapped to a formica counter top.

Here's what we're getting:

1 Brand new headquarters with radio room,

Here's the question, what kind of console should we look into. We run conventional freqs on 46.000, 154.000 and 453.000 about 60 in total. We use QCII for paging on 453. and monitor plectron on 46 and 154. We only do secondary dispatch (assemble crews and track ambulance responses). Any ideas, + relative price ranges would be much appreciated.

Most of the companies around us have Motorola, all of my equipement is motorola. I'd like to see what else is out there besides the phone number for zetron. But I will keep them in mind, I have been very happy with their model 5.

Just wanted to make you aware of GAI-Tronics Radio Dispatch Product line. We make a full line of Tone and DC Desksets and Consoles. We previously made the Command PLUS Console for Motorola. Currently we have a 4, 8, or 12 channel unit which took the place of the Command PLUS. You can view the specs and a picture of it on our Website: http://www.gai-tronics.com.

You can also contact me if you have any questions.

Our canter just switched to the Motorola Gold Elite. It's an all touch-screen toneboard, and works pretty well, and it's got some good features. The reason we went to these is because when we went to Zetron to buy our consoles, they have pretty much ceased producing the push-button, flash whent the tones are done, tone board, or at least as I understand it from our technical manager.

Check with your local Moto rep, as well as checking into grant funds. We bought 2 new consoles, one of which was fully paid for, as well as half of the other one, by monies from one of the regional emer svcs councils.
