Power Output Adjust on PC10 HT

Hello,
I was reading the FCC certification for a motorola PC 10 handheld transceiver I recently purchased, and it mentioned that the power output was 2 watts, but that it was adjustable down to half a watt. Does anyone know where to make such an adjustment? I found several pots inside, but I was hesitant to adjust any without the unit hooked up to my gear properly.
So furthermore, are adaptors available to go from the threaded antenna connector to something more common like BNC?
Thanks!
