Radio switching off when activating Siren

Hi

I am having problems with XTL5000 W3 radios switching off when emergency lights and sirens are activated. I am able to switch the radio on again with the sirens running but this is a big safety concern for operators who may be driving at high speeds. I would like any information/advice on rectifying the problem. To add to my worries, this problem is intermitent.

[Conundrum]

I had a similar problem, when the strobe pack was turned on it would reset the spectra, we had to install a Motorola power line filter which solved the problem, it also could be a dieing battery or too much power draw.
