Post by scooby-70 »

hi, i have an xts2500 model 3 380-470mhz, just wondering if it was possible to progam freqs above 470mhz. also, would anyone know how much it would be to get ADP encryption flashed in this radio? this radio's flashcode alrewady indicates hardware encryption. any help is really appreciated. thanks

It can be brought up to about 479-ish on tx..

Stupidity creates job security!

If your radio has old firmware, programming it with the latest CPS will not add any new features unless you have the latest firmware to match..

CPS = Customer Programming Software, Not CPS Software.

Go to http://www.batlabs. com and then go to Model Specific Information, then
click on "XTS" In that section you will find information about what you want
to do, which involves hex editing the Windows CPS program for the 2500. The data is
not all that up-to-date but it should get you started.

hello fellows,

I've been trying high and low how to do this mod but to no avail. I went on to the main BatLabs site and spent hours trying to understand it and still, huge bump. I'm a complete dumb#%! on these things. I also downloaded the Hex Editor program and cannot make heads or tals of it either. What sould I do? Thanks for your patience. Scooby-70
