Ok our Code Enforcement Officer is getting a hand me down 2005 Jeep Liberty. Question is where to mount a 2-way radio and switch box besides on the side of the center console If at all possible. If you have comments or suggestions let me know also if you have done an install i would like to see pics of them. Also the equipment is not picked out yet so it could be anything with in reason.

My wife has a Liberty that I had 2 ICOM F121/221 mobile units in. As you said they were mounted to the side of the ceter console. I just replaced the 121 with the new ICOM F5061 remote head, and mounted the head right on top of the console in front of the shifter. It loks good there, and the harness snuck thru the pocket behind it. I didn't use a switch pack for her, but have 3 rocker switches on the dash panels. In between the upper and lower dash there are 2 small pieces that pop off. It was ideal for the switches, and I can replace them for $10 when she gets rid of it. I put relays on the switches even though I run LED units.

The first thought for the radio was on her old cell phone tab that comes out from next to the radio, but didn't like what it looked like.
