XTS2500 Mic Problem.

Post by Rayjk110 »

This has stumped me.... I've tried using a commander mic on an XTS2500 of mine, and it just won't work. I believe the model # is RMN5021a - I can use a regular Jedi mic on it fine with no problems, yet an XTS5k or XTS3k right next to it will use the commander mic just fine. I checked thru the 2500 CPS and didn't recall seeing any options for this kind of mic. When the cmndr mic is put on the radio, nothing happens. It's like the mic isn't even there and the radio operates normally, with audio being routed thru the radio's speaker as normal.

Am I missing something? Or does the XTS2500 just not take this mic?

That mic is not compatible with the 2500

Edit: Although I'm surprised it doesn't function the same as it does on the HT1000. I thought it was just the channel select that didn't work..

I have exactly the same issue with my commander mic (RMN5023SP01) works on a 3k and a 5k but my XTS2500I does not like it. Strange... I betcha the new commander range works fine.
AES AND DES ARE NOT CCI's - YOU CAN EXPORT THEM IF YOU WANT - Wassenaar Arrangement
