I have a spectra astro trunk unit picked up on ebay some time ago no fccid # but the mot id is T04QLH9PW9AN.also says 1meg Looking at your part numbers it looks like almost everthing is programmable.Not sure if any a9 head will work or not.Any suggestions to get it operational is helpful.Thanks,Gary

You need a W9 head, it's a 403-433 radio anyhow, and if it's one of those 110 watt eBay radios from a couple years ago, it may have a DES-XL chip in it as well... host 8, dsp 6 and IMBE functionality... but again 403-433Mhz.

Yes I meant W9 head I saw that in the part number,just a brain fart I guess and yes it does have the NTN8967A-EM wrote in pen,dated 03/14/00 on board HLN64584.It has other numbers penned in also .I have a lot to learn here.I really need to find out if this thing might be just a door stop before I attempt anything else.Is ther a way I can test without a control head ?

I *think* there is a way to boot it, so you can read it, posted by someone here a few months ago, otherwise, heads are usually cheap enough on ebay time to time.
