Batboard

Hello all. I hope I can explain this without any confussion. I have a CDM1250 VHF. Everything has worked fine for years, now all of a sudden when on scan, on the following freq. ( 154.355 PL 118.8 ) the radio sticks on that channel like skip or monitor. Now here is the weird thing...Take the radio off of scan and put on that channel, nothing. On a portable with same channel, no skip or static on scan or off scan. Just now on this single unit it does it on scan. The Mic on secured on the mic hook, monitor is NOT on.

Any ideas?

2 QUESTIONS. One is the radio programmed properly with the pl in place? I ran into the same problem with a guys radio ,the place where he bought it put in CSQ where the PL should have been. They were unwilling to check their work(no one does perfect work at all times). Two how old is the firmware? The old ones were crap(v1.00-v4.00). If these don't apply a hole may have rubbed in the coax,I have seen that before and it only affected one or two channels sometimes. It could be none of these but its worth checking.

In the scan programming, there is an option to be CSQ during scan. Sounds like this could the problem.

The channel has the TPL on both Rx and Tx. As far as the firmware---probably pretty old. It has worked fine since it was installed a few years ago, but it was all of a sudden this problem. One other thing, the veh sat outside for a few days and it rained pretty hard those days---I was wondering if water got in the antenna connection or something, but everything else it working fine except this one channel.

Antennas, mounts, and coax are not going to effect this. I suggest checking the scan setting for CSQ.
