Ok, so I was programming the radio using REGULAR software, not lab and it went into toolproofing. Any chance at recovering without sending it in? Thanks!

You can try programming in a good saved codeplug or force a good saved s-rec of the radio b4 it was toolproofed. I am not by any means an MTS2k expert so someone may correct me/tell me I am way off base.

While not an expert either, I thought you could only toolproof a MTS while using LAB?

I don't remember which firmware revision it was, but Motorola started "Tool Proofing" the MTSX series - Oh; probably 8 or so years ago. It didn't take long for the local folks in the ATL area to un-do their tool proofing, and I haven't heard any more about it until now. For that matter; I don't know who, or where you might be able to restore it from, but I know there are ways around it on the MTSX (Jedi) series. It's not a paperweight, unless you don't do your own research. Take heart...

I don't think I can be much help, but I do have a few questions.
Where did the archive come from that was programmed in? Was it just read from that radio, and then programmed back in after the changes were made? Was it from a saved archive from that radio, or was it or was it cloned from another radio's archive?
What ver of CPS, or RSS are you using?
