Can the jedi 1171 charger charge a nimh battery XTS or Jedi

This would be the NTN1171A with three contacts. I remember reading something about the versions with three contacts, but can't remember if it can or cannot do nimh.
Also, if it can actually handle nimh, do the XTS5000 batteries line up correctly as well?
Thanks

I wish I could post a pic, but the OEM WPNN4013A has a big sticker on it with a hand, and an image of an NTN1171 style charger with a red X on it and a listing of chargers apparently NOT compatible and they are: NTN1171, NTN1173, NTN1172, NTN1174, NTN1175, GPN6136, NTN1176, GPN6139, GPN6140, GPN6146, GPN6141 and TDN9816.
On the battery label itself it reads "IMPORTANT: Use only with Chargers NTN1168A/70A/77A/78A and 79A; PMTN4005A/4006A/4007A; (WPPN4002AR/4006AR &4004AR) warranty 6 months)

Thanks, was just something I had in the back of my mind.
On a related note, a few months ago we had someone from higher up in my company bring some no-name nimh batteries for our jedis, so I gave them to someone else while I made sure we kept the good multipiers....
Guess that was a good idea

I have charged one of the NiMH batteries in an NTN1171 a couple of times as I didn't have access to my personal intellicharger, and it charged up fine and didn't get too hot, but I took it out immediately after the LED turned green. Someone correct me if I am wrong but that is the core issue with the Nicad charger is cutoff point and trickle charging current. But the battery didn't melt or explode...

Well I left them (the nimh) with my coworker who works a desk, so I gave her the very strong suggestion to charge them for a certain period of time and to keep a look after it. I gave her two of them so she would not leave on in the charger overnight, nothing like a 1171 charging a battery for 14hrs to make the life go down
