Does anyone know how to connect a barcode reader to a Mototrbo radio?
We want to send the data it reads across the data connection to a computer in another place.

I know it is possible to connect the barcode reader to a laptop running windows xp and to connect the laptop to the radio with the usb cable. But it is there any barcode reader that connects directly to the radio? It is possible?

Or what mobile computer can be used for this?

I wouldn't expect such a device to exist, since the functions of the MotoTRBO data program on the laptop is to format the data in a meaningful fashion, packetize it, and then control the radio functions. The radios themselves have no data handling capabilities, only the ability to transmit packets fed to it by a laptop running the MotoTRBO data application.

It is possible to send data from computer to computer using radios mototrbo with the drivers for windows XP.

But my boss doesn’t want to use a laptop to get data from mobile users. He wants to use mobile computer but they use windows mobile and there are no drivers from Motorola for windows mobile and usually they don’t have usb port.

Any Ideas?
