i tried searching but didnt find anything to answer my question.

i have noticed that some astro products indicate they are imbe (NICE), others say Q241 (no astro/not nice)some flash codes dont indicate either, im thinking that would mean they are veselp digital . am i correct?

thanks for your time,

wazz

Post the flashcode in question.

There are generally three flavors,
odd flashcodes - IMBE PROVIDED that host and DSP supports it
even/starts with 0 flashcodes - likely VSELP or just no digital at all. Again, you need to look at the host and DSP to tell what it is.

ANOTHER QUESTION

i know theres codes for conventional operation. sometimes i see a radio with them sometimes i dont. has anyone ever seen a radio that does not specifically say "conventional operation in the flashcode, but still does operate that way?
it just SEEMS like conventional is such a BASIC function they all should come with it.
im talking factory original flashed radios only, not hacked ones.

Yeah, they'll all do conventional.

All higher system types include the lower types, ie a smartzone radio includes conventional. Thats why they don't post it in the flashcode.
