Hi all!
I hope for being able to be of help to a lot of people.
From few days I have installed on my Pc a software that I believe many of you they know "Microsoft Virtual PC." Immediately after the installation, I have created a virtual machine ready to have installed Windows 95, therefore I have installed him. After having installed Win 95, I have provided to install my two softwares that I use for programming my GP300s and GM600. On the computer where I have installed Virtual PC have not COM port but I have bought an Prolific USB to Serial. I have shaped her with Virtual PC and therefore I have launched the RSS for the GP300. I have been amazed, when I have seen that it works better than my portable PC with which I programmed the radios before.
If someone interested in this alternative, and it desires to have great details, they are to disposition.
Best regards

Sounds like an interesting setup. Also sounds like a good way to turn a radio into a paperweight. You may get away with using a setup like that many, many times, but you are eventually going to corrupt a codeplug. For any software intended for use under DOS, you are asking for trouble using anything but true DOS, and an old, slow (25 MHz or slower 2/3/486 processor) computer, unless using a newer version of the software that supports Pentium-class processors. Any type of "emulator" is not a good idea for programming radios.
