Can anybody tell me if this particular GP300 model is UHF or VHF it's MODEL# P24QLC20A3AA.

As Will has already stated it is a P110 as he says.
You may in fact have a P110 in a GP300 case - They will fit each other.
Or you could have a GP300 with a P110 back metal chassis plate.
That too would fit.
Probably the easiest way to confirm would be to read the radios code plug and see what it says it is and if it matches the serial number of the rear metal plates serial number on the sticker.
Also if in fact it puts out only 2 watts it probably is the P110 model number you posted.

Good news is if it's date coded in '93 or prior you can bang it up to a 16 ch scan capable high power radio. If after '93 at least it's a very wideband radio so that 465-495 can be key shifted at least 10 MHz out of band to get it into more common areas of the band.

Just a qestion on the bit banging it up to 16ch and the high power.
If in fact the radio is originaly a 2 watt unit would it become 4 watt output by simply changing the radios internal programming or will it stay the 2 watt output.
The above statement confuses me a bit as i always thought the PA was diferent for the 2 watt versus the 4 watt models.(P110/GP300)
But is it true that the bit banging could make the radio 4 watts rather than its original 2 watt?
