So what would the process be in making a Astro ready Saber to a full IMBE Astro radio. I'm looking at these that are presently being sold on E-bay.

I hate arguing with stupid people. They just bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Re: Astro ready to Astro question
Well....
for starters, that's an ancient HOST/DSP combo coming back to a radio that would be VSELP, if digital.
Which means, it may have a 512k vocon.
You could get it upgraded, but if it's a 512k vocon, the best you could have is IMBE with DSP 6.

With that firmware revision, I can guarantee you it has a 512K VOCON. Also, since the DSP letter revision is A, no VSELP.. just analog.
Can you even get firmware bumps for 512K VOCONs anymore?
