Differences in XTL5000/Astro Spectra consolettes?

Post by jmr061 »

Wondering if anyone knows if there are any differences in the XTL5k consolette versus the Astro Spectra consolette. The reason I am asking is that I have an XTL5k consolette at work but it doesn't have secure. I am thinking of changing the drawer unit inside since I have an Astro Spectra drawer with the proper secure I could use.

Thanks for any info.

As long as the audio board is a "C" rev or above it will work fine, according to my service manual. The "C" rev was designed for the Astro Spectra and Astro Apectra Plus, which is just an undignified XTL. I don't recall any differences in any switch settings on the board for the Astro Spectra and the Plus.
