Astro Saber 3 convertacomm problem ?

Post by bmoulton »

I just picked up a used convertacomm for my UHF Astro Saber 3.
It says Astro on it and the label says it should work with the Astro 3, but the with the battery on it the radio seems to bottom out before the connector on the
convertacomm is lined up with the connector on the convertacomm. I am using aftermarket batteries. Does anyone know if I need to use a certain battery with the
convertacomm or why the radio seems to be too tall ?

You need the mid-sized battery, like a NTN8251
