How do I open an HT1000 speaker mic?

Post by cfacer »

I have a need to open an HT1000 speaker mic and have not found any way of doing it other than to use a vice and soft towel (which I'm not willing to try on my one and only speaker mic ..... yet).

Just wondering if anyone has had any luck cgetting one open and could point me in the right direction.

Thanks!

Short of a chisel and hammer, you're stuck with a throwaway
piece of equipment. Opening the case with tools will probably
result in its near destruction. But first check the cable to be
sure it's not the source of the problem you're having.

Thanks for the input, but it is not a question of working or not. It works perfect, but I'm attempting to make a slight modification to the mic as a whole.

Seems like the best thing to do would be to find a non-working microphone to cannabalize, or get a cheap japanese knock-off to sacrifice.......
