Hi All~ I've been perusing the site for quite a while learning as much as i can through osmosis and avoiding repeat questions as much as possible.

I have a Minitor IV SV pager 1 channel VHF. It is currently programmed to 155.1600

I have seen both on ebay and on a web site somewhere a service that offers the addition of a 2nd channel to the pager (for a fee of course).

Is this bogus? I know that this is an option through the dealer sign-on two convert to 2 channels but does this make my pager a nice looking belt ornament? I'm considering doing it but i like my pager in a working state.

It's legit... all they're doing is dropping the software into Engineering Mode and reprogramming the pager as a 2 channel. No big deal.

Too bad no one can do the same to a Minitor V

Well if their is a way to turn a 1ch to a 2ch...fill us in.... I did not know you can get into engineer mode on the V PPS like you can the IV

2 channel "mod" works like a charm! Thanks to all for the patience and help!
