My fire Department just got Minitor 5 and that Motorola and the dealer we got them from said that for the pager alert tone to go off and the Stored Voice to work the fire tones need to be longer only by 6 seconds and that the pager timer can't be shorted to work. Is there a fix for this i hope you can help.

If I understand your question correctly (which I'm not sure I do), your salesman doesn't know what he's talking about. If the pager alerts, Stored Voice can also be made to work.
