I need to increase the squelch on an VHF AS mobile and I'm having a difficult time finding it.
Is it set in the CPS like the other models?

Re: VHF AS Mobile Squelch Setting
Mark,
On the portables I found it in
Conventional personality, Rx options, set from 1-15.
It's listed in the help list as a "fine tune" so don't know
how much range it actually provides.

Yeah I know where it is on the portables and figured it would be in the same place for the mobiles, but it isn't.

Find the button programmed for "monitor". Press and hold it until you get to the squelch adjustment.KS4VT wrote:Yeah I know where it is on the portables and figured it would be in the same place for the mobiles, but it isn't.
Adjust from 0-15, then press home to resume normal operation... just like the analog spectra.

Oh..is this a radio wide setting or based on the channel that is selected?

Re: VHF AS Mobile Squelch Setting
If I'm not mistaken the adjustment through the monitor button is only temporary. Doesn't it revert back to the CPS setting upon pwoer loss? I am at home now so I don't have CPS available but I beleive there is a minimum setting in the CPS that is active when the unit turns on.
I will check on Monday and repost unless someone else does first
