can a ht750 be programmed to announce the channel number or name like a Minitor 5 can? Also I read that a ht750 does mdc encode and decode. How does a radio without a screen decode mdc?

the decode is audible for things like select call, not visual like on a display. no it can not announce it's channel but if it's on scan you can tell by the tone of the beeps if it's a priority channel and i think it can beep for last channel discovery.
