I go to program my ht100 and it says RIB port communication unsuccessful. what could be my problem ? thanks

I hope you mean an HT1000. HT100 is a VERY OLD crystal controlled portable. What kind of set up are you using? Computer speed? Mot. RIB or 2nd party? Mot cables or 2nd party? Have you programmed this or similar radios successfully before?
