I have an XTS 3000R Model II "R" split 403-470 MHz.
Flash code: 100004-000000-4
The radio will properly send (encode) my PTT ID via MDC but not decode other peoples. I assume this is because of my basic flash code missing H14/G114 Digital ID Display. Can anyone confirm this?
I am also having problems programming scan lists. I have setup four full zones for scanning. I have enabled scanning on a per channel (personality) basis and yet when I assign scan to a button, that cps red flags that button assignment. In other words it won't let me assign scanning to any button with an error (highlighted red) message. Any ideas on this?
Lastly, I am having issues with keys and encryption with this radio. This radio has DES OFB & XL. The radio will only allow you to use one key and will not allow the setup of more keys in the secure or encryption options. This may also be due to the basic flash code and the absence of H07 Multikey software encryption. Can someone confirm this? All programming is with CPS not DOS. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Re: XTS 3000 programming issues
The red flag on the scan button probably relates to scan also being a menu item. One or the other.
Your description of the scan lists is a bit unclear. You do not tag a scan list to a zone, but to an individual channel. When scan is invoked, the radio will scan the channels listed in the scan list associated with channel that is currently selected by the channel selector. Each list is limited to 15 discrete members plus the selected channel.

I misspoke, I meant to say that I setup four full scan lists not zones and enabled scan in the corresponding channels. I am unclear on your reply. Scan needs to be enabled in the menu? Or it is already assigned to another button? Please elaborate. Thanks

Re: XTS 3000 programming issues
txcc08,
You're correct on the first point you asked about. If your
flashcode started with a 5 (1 + 4) you'd be able to have
the digital display you need. With the 1 you've just
got a P25 digital radio.
Been a while since I "did" XTS3Ks but the above I recall clearly,
mostly because it also applies to 5K radios.

Tom,
Thanks for the confirmation.
Hopefully someone can also shed some light on my encryption key question.
