CPS - "Communication with radio failed" - HELP!

Post by Dogface »

I'm having a problem trying to read a Astro Saber....When i select "Read device" in Astro Saber & XTS 3000 CPS (Ver R04.01.04) the radio itself displays "1 CSQ" the data light on the RIB flashes for a bit...and after about 1 or 2 minutes, i get "Communication with radio failed"!

Can anyone please lend a hand on this?!

Start by trying different Com ports, like 4 instead of 1 which
is probably what you're set up for right now.

Any idea what CPS the radio was last programmed with?

Are all the cables in good shape? Do you have an AC adapter for the RIB or are you using batteries? I have had that problem where the radio starts to read and says 1 CSQ then fails with that error because the silly battery in the RIB was at its end.
