XTL5000/2500 COntrol Head conversion

Hi Guys,

I have two questions...

1- Has anyone successfully converted an XTL2500 Remote Mount with an O5 Head to an O3 head?

2- Has anyone successfully converted an XTL5000 Remote Mount with a W7 head to an O3 head?

I know there was some talk of this in other threads but no one seemed to have any concrete conclusions.

Any info/comments/experiences would be interesting to hear.

I am currently changing over an O5 XTL5k to O3 (hi power) and a W4 to O3 XTL5000 (mid power). The high power wasn't bad. The mid power has a needed part on back order for a month.

For the W4 what parts were needed? Also did you need a firmware FLASH upgrade?

I will get a list of parts together. I won't know how things work out until I get the flex cable that is on back order for a month.
