Question concerning the software....

What is a ballpark figure how much the software costs from Motorola and as a amateur radio operator would they sell me the software? I know that it might be a bit pricey at first but it would certainly save me a lot of hassle in order to get it programmed. Not worried about the cable, just need the software only. It has cost me a arm and a leg to get it programmed and I would like to have access to the software when needed. I have 5 of these radios and do love them but is the cost really prohibitive?

Lately, they will sell software to anyone who are willing to pay up. You can call their support line or order through MOL and download the software immediately after purchasing.

Thank you very much for the information dxon2m. I have my question answered and I believe I'll go ahead and purchase the software. With five of these radios it will pay for itself I believe........

and the nice thing about having legit software is access to the updates on your MOL account, in addition, you get support as well.
