MTX9250 CPS Problem, what to do?

When I first got my MTX 9250 I read it with my CPS R01.03.06 kit # HVN9067 just fine. I then programmed it with the same CPS onto HAM frequencies. Everything worked fine, I have two cables they both worked and everything was great. It has been about 6 months since I did this.... now I fire up the CPS on the same computer (note XP was reloaded in the mean time) and same cable.

It trys to read the radio showing
CSQ CH01 SP25 and an L

The bar on the CPS goes from 1-100% and then the radio beeps and returns to the channel it is on.

However, the CPS says, "Radio data is invalid" in a pop up window.

Now, I can't read the radio in to change things.

Can anyone help? Thanks,

Mike

You had hacked the software originally to get the ham frequencies into the radio, and now that your computer was reloaded, your newly installed CPS is no longer hacked and doesn't recognize the ham frequencies. You must modify your CPS again.

Todd, that is VERY helpful. Can you tell me where I can find the info on how to do this, I don't have any notes on it from last time.

Found this on the net, maybe it will help others.

Hex edit the CPS_95nt.exe to allow amateur programming. Receives well without a filter change.

Here are the modifications required to the trunking CPS R01.03.06-AA edit the CPS_95nt.exe file as follows: old string 9428 BB37 new string D410 6835
