I get intermittent NextGen10 Errors when trying to re-write into an XTS2500, using ASTRO 25 Portable CPS R11.00.00
It started with Radio Failed to Acknowledge Error Context: 24, Status: c0000386
I switched from serial port/ribless RKN4106A to USB port and different cable RKN4105A.
I uninstalled/reinstalled CPS R11.00.00
The errors then changed to: Open Radio Failed Error Context: 24, Status c0000343 and Open Radio Failed Error Context: 24, Status: ecec00a7.
Through continued repositioning of the cables, opening and closing the CPS, rebooting the laptop, changing the battery on the radio, and reading/writing to other XTS2500 radios in between, the original radio FINALLY (after about an hour of the other things) took the codeplug and is now working fine. I also noticed that sometimes the NextGen10 errors would pop up when I hadn't even pulled the trigger by requesting to "Program Radio" under the Tools/Clone Radio options. They would just surface almost randomly.
It's not the radios, it's not the cables, it's not the batteries...seems to me like it is IN the CPS. Any advice?

Re: NextGen10 Errors - Radio Failed to Acknowledge
I'm having similar problems with my USB cable; it'll read my bastard Tactical 2500 all day long, but gives me the nexgen10 error on a run-of-the-mill 5000. They seem to be popping up more often with everyone...who knows what the problem is.
I'm using R10.00.00
I'm using R10.00.00

Its sounds like it might be a "codeplug to new '' type thing. I've seen this problem happen so far on the XTS2500's.

i have seen these errors before - and always had to uninstall/re-install CPS to get it fixed.
be sure that you are using CPS versions that match the radio host version.
using CPS 11 on a HOST 9.xx radio is just.... DUMB.
