Astro Saber Compatibility Issues????

Post by RADIO43 »

Guys,

Have an astro saber that is acting up on me. See spec's below:

Firm - R07.70.00
DSP - N08.03.03
EMC - R02.12
KG1 - None
KG2 - DES-OFB
KG3 - None
1 Meg
Flash - 5991008-4F1E00-9
Model - H04SDH9PW7AN

List of problems:

1. Display will turn off after being on for a few minutes (does not happen all the time). Turning Radio on and off will reset.

2. When on the 2670 service monitor it is displaying between 100 mV and 150 mV output power but seems to perform fine in the field when it comes to keying up distant repeaters. I am aware that those numbers indicate that it is transmitting off the exciter and not the final PA's. As a side not I have checked the monitor with numerous other portables with successful results so it is not that.

So is this an incompatibility with the Flash and firmware in the radio? Maybe the firmware in the EMC Board is incompatible with both the flash and the the radio firmware. Is the RF Board shot? Should I try another flashcode with the radio? Any thoughts and discussion would be great. Thank you as always.
