Does anyone have a working or the original codeplug for an XTL 2500, model M21URM9PW1AN. Motorola says my codeplug might be corrupted so I need a working one.

Define "corrupt". Error messages, malfunction, etc?

Corrupt codeplugs on the Astro25 line are not generally user-recoverable. They usually require a trip to the depot. I'd be very curious to know who at Motorola advised you otherwise.

I forget the name of the person I spoke to, the problem is as follows. I've programmed it for Smartnet and one of the soft keys has been set for Zone, but when I hit zone I can change zones by the rotary knob but when I click the Home button to select the current zone I just get a beep and no other buttons work. The only way to select the zone is to PTT but I can't have that. Also only the left button works on the d-pad, I can not scroll right same beep.

So this problem only occured after a reprogram? The more details you provide the easier it will be for us to advise you.

I believe it was working correctly out of the box, but after I programmed the radio, it seemed to not work correctly. The Motorola guy also said it could be because the code plug was large and that could be part of how it got corrupted. I have 3 sites, 11 personalities, avg 16 talkgroups for each personality and 12 zones. Also I ordered the radio for smartnet but they shipped just conventional so they sent me the flash upgrade. It seemed ok after that, once again when the codeplug went in things went south.

Although a possibility, I've rarely seen a large codeplug be an issue on current generation Astro25 radios. It would probably be helpfull to post the current flashcode and firmware revisions (Host/DSP/Tuning/Head/etc) of the radio.

Do you have an original codeplug saved that you can try and load into the radio? One that is post-flashport upgrade but prior to you programming in the systems? If it truly is a corrupted codeplug, it's likely your only option will be to send the radio to Motorola for service. This is especially true if the radio is still under warranty.

You might also want to place the radio in service mode and then input test mode and verify that all buttons, knobs and switches respond normally.
