GM950 - Which radio is it?

Post by CpKurk »

Hello people,
This is my first post on this forum. I'm a regular visitor of the batlabs.com website for many years, but never had the need to open up a topic on the forum.
However I have a question now which I cant seem to get answered by anybody or by my big friend mr. Google.
So I hope that the huge ammount of experts here on this forum can help me out :)

I've recently acquired a Motorola GM950 radio with the following specs:

Type: MD534AD
Model No.: M08RHF4CK1AN

The previous owner told me that its a trunking radio which could easily be flashed to a conventional radio. Well, I wish he wouldnt have said 'easily' since I'm having a hard time to get the damn thing read at all.
I have tried several types of software and I made several types of cables from which I thought they could work. However I have not been succesfull.
Can anyone tell me which radio I have and which cable/software I need to use?
Even a stopped clock gives the right time twice a day
