Can anybody please tell me the volt/amp of the power supply required to operate a Smart Rib RLN1015C?
I also need to know the polarity of the connector that plugs into the rib.
Thanks
Bob

12VDC@ about 1A will run it just fine. SmartRibs are center pin negitive.

I've run mine just fine on a 9V. Nice and small to tuck into the programming kit.

9v is too low if you are using the smartrib as it was intended to flash a radio but i've never tried it that way to do simple programming, kind of overkill and a risk of corrupting a radio.

Original power adapter for RLN1015C supplies about 19 VDC. Yes, so many!

I'm looking at an OEM SRIB power supply here and it supplies 12VDC at 300mA. Where'd you get 19VDC from?

Probably looking at the actual voltage being produced under no load. Pretty typical of a wall-wart to produce excessive voltage until you put a load on it (usually requires very little load).

This voltage have been measured at no load.
As I know, SmartRIB have built-in stabilizer which drops voltage to about 13.5V for flashing.
