I have a MTS2000 model 3 that i just got off fleebay and when you turn it on it comes up with Self Test then Fail 01/02 then goes to the normal screen and u can use the radio no problems....now the problem for me is i want to put my own stuff in there. The catch is when i turn the radio on with the cable attached it stays on Self Test...to counter this i turn the radio on...wait till its loaded then connect the cable to the radio...the only catch is when i try and program the radio...it comes up with programming then Self Test and doesent program the radio.

Im using CPS R02.00.01 and an after market cable.

Error 01/02 indicates bad code plug data. You will need to load a working code plug into the radio and you should be good to go.
