Just checking to see if part number H5177R actually includes CPS part number HVN9025 since H5177R has a lower price than HVN9025 ($299. vs $319.) Why would anyone buy HVN9025 since it costs more?

Since H5177R is listed as SOFTWARE HT SERIES, DEALER KIT, I would assume one would have to be a dealer to even order it.

*shrug* You're talking about a $20 difference. All the HT and CDM manuals give HVN9025 as the proper part number for the HT/CDM CPS.

Gentlemen,

If you order H5177R you will be quite ahead of the game. The H5177R is called a dealer kit. It includes the following HVN9067J(MTX privacy plus CPS Software ) 02.01.03), HVN9025U ( HT/MTX.LS/CDM/EX Models and Passport HT/CDM Models ). This is version 06.09.06 for the HT/CDM series. And as a bonus you get the RKN4074B programming test cable. So for the low price of around $284.00 you get a much better deal. I just received this kit today.

Just found this post...

Anyone know if there is a way to "upgrade" to H5177R if you already own HVN9025??

I bought a license through MOL for HVN9025 earlier this year. I'm now in need of programming MTX950/9250 radios and this requires me to purchase another piece of software (HVN9067 - which according to this post is included in the "dealer kit"). Any thoughts on this??

Curious to know - how did you find out about H5177R? I'd like to know so I look for "dealer kits" in the future.

Thanks!
Justin

I do see H5177 listed in the service manual now...I must have overlooked it before (or thought I didn't need it at that time).

Is that where you found it or another list of dealer kits?

Thanks,
Justin

I didn't specifically look for a dealer kit. That's the software package that shows up for me when I go to software/programming on MOL
