Can anyone help me interface two GM300 radios with a Z340 controller. I've searched the internet for a manual with no luck. If anyone could provide me with the pinouts for the accessory, Tx and Rx ports of the Z340 it would be greatly appreciated. I will have to build my own interface cables so I'm wondering if the connections between the radios (16 pin) and the Rx and Tx ports on the Z340 are simply a one to one straight through connection, or are they wired differently?

Also, how is the unit powered. Is it through the radios or the accessory jack. I've read on some of these Zetron models, the Rx radio should not be supplied with power via the power plug on the back of the radio. Is this the case with the Z340.

Also, is this controller programmed through the radio RSS, or do I have to do it with DTMF.

If anyone could help me out, provide me with a hook up schematic or e-mail me a copy of the manual it would be greatly appreciated.

I hope you didn't call Zetron, but maybe you should for shits and giggles... ya never know what you'll get when talking about Motorola-specialty items.

I'm having troubles with the ZR320 I recently bought. I'm sure the pinouts are very similar. I could use some aid as well (although I did start another thread).

I was able to power up the my unit, however. I opened up the chassis, found the voltage regulator, wired 12v to it (which corresponded to a pin on the accy connector, BTW) and grounded it to the chassis.

If yours has a programming port on the front, you may be able to program it with hyperterminal, if you can figure out the pinout for that (*sigh). Apparently computer programmable Zetrons usually have a DB9 on the front for serial computer programming via hyperterminal, DTMF works too, if you can figure out how to get an RX radio wired up.
