To bring radio in Bootstrap mode, just -9V to top contact from the connector.

Connection to RIB

2,5mm Stereo Plug +++++ RIB ++++++++++++++ 9 Volt Battery clip.

Base ************************ 1 ********************** Red Wire
middle ********************* 15
top ************************************************** Black wire (for protection ad a 1K resistor here)

Don't forget jumper in RIB connector pin 4 to 11

When software ask to put radio in flash mode, just connect battery.

Thats all

Re-visiting an old topic here, but is it possible someone could draw this out? I feel like it makes sense, but I want to be sure before I blow up some radios. :o

It would make more sense to use the following terms when describing the 3.5 MM jack:

TIP.
Center Ring.
Upper Ring (near body)
'This helps clarify the actual pin/wiring locations for proper connections..

Just a few pennies of advice.....
