EX600XLS

Post by dannyc1286 »

Hey All-

I am new to the forum, but I need help. I just got an EX600XLS and am programming it in conventional mode with 16 channels per zone. I would like to program the up and down buttons on the front of the radio to change the zones. The problem I am running into is that all of the buttons on the front of the radio( the keypad, and up, down, P1, and P3) feel like when I press them, that I cannot press them fully, almost as if they are locked. The radio is new so it shouldn't have any mechanical problems, but I cannot get the keys to operate at all. Is there anybody that had similar problems or knows the solution to get the keys unlocked and working through the software. I programmed the keys in the control menu and set the turnknob to continuous and am still not able to get any of the keys on the front of the radio to function. Please let me know as soon as possible if anyone can offer any help.

Have you tried putting the radio in button test mode to verify that the front buttons are indeed working?

What radios do you own?: HT1550's, X9000's, CDM1550's

you can't just press the up/down button and have it change the zone, you have to assign another button or the menu to bring the zone section up then use the up/down button then push the upper right button to accept that zone.
