Can anyone tell me how to program an Ht1000 to have a tone chirp over the air at the end of a transmission?

that would be your mdc identifier, set it up for post signaling on the channels you want it on and set the 4 digit number for your badge number or whatever number your department assigned to you or whatever number you want to show up on everyone elses radio.

Ok, thanks for the help. But could you tell me in depth how to do this with the ht1000 software like what options do i go to on the rss software?

open your ht1000 rss owners manual that came with your rss and it will explain it in great detail.

  • F4 - Change/View Radio Codeplug Data
  • F3 - Radio Configuration Menu
  • F7 - Signalling Options Menu
  • F3 - MDC/STAR/ATIS Options
Signalling Type - MDC1200
Primary ID - Given to you by administrator
Variable ID - Given to you by administrator
PL Transmit - Depends on system
PTT ID - Keyup, Dekey or Keyup/Dekey *under Dekey, the radio will transmit a data burst at the end of each transmission

Reading the manual that came with your legitimately obtained copy of HT1000 RSS will be incredibly helpful - the F1 Help file text is practically a limited Cliff Notes version of the actual manual.
