XTS3000 Fail 01/82

Post by KX5MOT »

Okay i have an y XTS3000 model II UHF, model number H09RDF9PW7BN displaying fail 01/82. The radi0 worked fine, i have programmed it before and i was adding some channels last night and as it was writing to the radio, i get this message"The radio codeplug being written is set to INHIBITED! This means that this radio has been shut down by dispatch. YOU SHOULD INVESTIGATE AS TO THE REASON! you can only uninhibit the radio from the dispatch or with a depot tool " and now its giving me the failure code. The radio was working fine, and was not on a trunked system, it was programmed for conventional only. The batboard says to correct this failure code to reprogram the codeplug, so my question is if someone sends me a good codeplug should i be able to resurrect the radio or is it a brick? Any help is appreciated.

If you have saved your codeplug (at any point) you should just be able to reload it in. Otherwise its going to be a pain. You would have to clone someone else codeplug in that has matching model # and flashcode, otherwise use dos to force in a s-rec or archive file.

Thats what i was afraid of, i didn't save the original only because i was just making a few changes, so my next question is; does anyone have a codeplug they could send me to try to clone? The model number is H09RDF9PW7BN and the flashcode is 5800080000003 and i have CPS R05.02.00.

Well i was able to get a codeplug to clone, but when i try to write the radio, i am still getting the message "The radio codeplug being written is set to INHIBITED! This means that this radio has been shut down by dispatch. YOU SHOULD INVESTIGATE AS TO THE REASON! you can only uninhibit the radio from the dispatch or with a depot tool "

Is there an easy way to fix this or is there someone i can send this to to get it recovered? i am not understanding this, the radio was working fine.

Were any of the conventional channels setup with MDC and with "radio inhibit" enabled? The would be the only other way I can think of for a non-trunking radio to be inhibited.

Nope none of the MDC settings were had radio inhibit enabled and the radio was working properly just minutes before it was programmed.
