I have CPS Version 11 and just got in my Firmware Flash I-Button Version 12 for my XTS5 Model 3.

The question is can I flash upgrade my HT to Firmware 12 with CPS Version 11? Will this casue any
problems like CPS to old for codeplug error?

Thanks for the help,
Doug.

Generally you need the major revision of CPS that corresponds with the major revision of Host firmware you are trying to refresh the radio with. So, in this case, you should be using CPS R12 with your Host R12 refresh. If you have a current subscription to Astro25 CPS you should be able to download it from the MOL software section. If not, you'll want to look into making your subscription current, or contact MOL support and get it added to your download page.

Thanks. I spoke to a MOT rep yesterday and he said I could order the CPS R12 from my MOL account.

I looked online and the RVN4181NR says to call MOT. I updated my license agreement online but, if I recall, it takes several days
for M to approve it. Then perhaps I can down load it. Does this sound correct? It's been several years since I flashed this HT.

At this rate it might be just as quick to have them mail it.

You want RVN4181AD, CPS R12.00.00.

Hint: When searching on MOL, omit the version letter(s) after the part number when searching for the latest version of that part. Example: RVN4181

My license expired so I renewed. Then ordered the software two days later. The CPS is on it's way for another 3 years.

Not sure why I worry.... I am eyeing the Thales Liberty. Would be very handy in my work enviroment.
