Ive got an XTS5000 here thats being a pain to uplift, it originally had 4.x in it, and i uplifted it to 11 without issue. I am trying to uplift it to 11.00.03 and i receive the following error:

"Failed to enter test mode"

I have verifed the programming / flashing setup as i can flash its twin just fine, i can also read and write the radio just fine as well on this same setup.

any ideas?

Try a different computer?

yeah, i got a serial setup at work, ill try that this week....

UPDATE: it did it on a serial cable as well, and it wouldnt even allow Tuner to run...

SOLUTION: the flex had come loose, took the radio apart and reseated it and now it uplifted and was able to align it just fine.
